I can't believe it's been over a week since my last post! Isn't summer supposed to be spent relaxing at the beach and just being lazy?? NOT in our house! Yesterday was the BIG day in Grand Haven for the annual Coast Guard parade and fireworks. Ridiculous amounts of people flood into tiny Grand Haven for this yearly event. The girls love parades, so we always make a point to go. I'll have to post pics later, but the girls had t-shirts to support their daddy being active duty in the CG. Peyton's said "Daddy deprived for your freedom!" Emma's said, "Coastie's princess" and Morgan's said, "My daddy's a coastie but my mommy's the boss!". We had lots of comments about their shirts and the girls had a great time at the parade.
I definitely needed my head examined because we also decided to do the fireworks last night. They didn't start until 10:15pm and we didn't get home until almost 1am! The fireworks were fun, but NEVER again will I brave huge crowds and tons of traffic with 3 children by myself! Anyway, we are off on another adventure tomorrow so I'll post more pics and blogs soon!

Hey there Heather. Sounds like a fun time...I love fireworks...although I am not sure about getting home around 1am with the kids...hope they were worth it.
