Quick update :)

Hello all!
I had such great intentions when I started this blog to at least post once a week. Alas, life always seems to get in the way! Anyway, thought I'd just type a quick update. The girls are all back in school so things are crazy. Morgan and Emma started up with Girl Scouts and soccer again and all 3 are taking swim lessons at the YMCA. They all LOVE to swim and are getting really good at the different strokes. Peyton is finally putting her face in the water, but it's certainly NOT her favorite part of "swimmer class".
Don is busy out in CA working fulltime with the Coast Guard and also working 2 part time jobs. I know most of you were aware that he was planning on retiring in March 2009 from active duty. Well that has changed! Due to the economy and problems finding a decent paying job, he has pulled his retirement letter. He will finish out his tour in CA (unless something changes!) and then we will do one more 4 year tour as a family....who knows where. The goal is to get him back to the midwest area (preferably MI) so he can be home every weekend. That way the girls can continue at the same school (which we all LOVE) and we don't have to be uprooted again. BUT if the CG doesn't have anything for him in the midwest, then we will transfer to wherever he gets stationed. The house is back up for sale, but given the last few weeks (with the credit crisis) we haven't had a single showing. Patience is a virtue in this housing market, that's for sure!
Well that's about all for now. Hope all is well with everyone. We miss you all!!

Heather,
I with you on your intentions! I know that life happens...and to post something EVERY week is a little hard. But it is great to watch and see new posts!
