Yesterday we had a double birthday party for Emma(6) and Peyton(3). Their birthdays are only 2 weeks apart, so for now they like doing the joint party. (I know that's not going to last, but I'll take what I can get :) The plan was to do a backyard beach party......swim in the pool, run in the sprinkler, and slide down the water slide. However....this is Michigan! The weather did not cooperate, so we couldn't set up the water slide (borrowed from a friend) and the kids only got to swim for about 20 minutes before it started raining again. Anyway, we improvised and did several art projects inside. The girls loved all their presents and a good time was had by all. Our new dog, Cody, did really well with all the noise and chaos, so I think I finally picked the right dog this time. The girls each had their own cakes, which they helped me make. Nothing fancy like auntie Hillary makes (I'm not that talented), but they were edible. Hope you all have a great rest of the weekend and I'll blog more soon! God Bless!

Just wondering if there is any cake left over? It looks pretty good...
Hope you all had fun...despite the weather.
Blessing,
