Wild and wacky Michigan weather

Yesterday was a crazy weather day for us here in west Michigan. We got almost 6 inches of rain in 8 hours, 65-80 mph hour winds, and golfball size hail. The girls and I are fine.....we have several large tree limbs down in the yard, but nothing hit the house or vehicles. When we first moved here the natives kept saying, "if you don't like the weather just wait 15 minutes and it will change!" We had a bit of everything yesterday, so I guess they were right :)

The girls and I don't have any big plans for the 4th of July, but I think we are going to try and watch the fireworks this year. I may need my head examined after taking 3 children by myself to watch the festivities (at 10pm of course!). I just hope I have enough arms to carry and or push tired kids back to the van.

Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th!! Take care and I'll try and post more pics soon :)

Pic of Emma and Peyton a few weeks ago....they are the best of friends and the worst of enemies all within about 3 minutes!

I am not sure if I will be able to type...I was up most of the night with our wild and wacky weather here in the NW. We had a HUGE thunderstorm go thru last night...we had massive amounts of sheet lightening and loud thunder during the night. It started before bed...around 9:30 and I don't think it stopped until 4:00 am!! The thunder set off Darren's truck alarm 2 times!! I have HUGE circles under my eyes...I am in need of a nap...and you know me...I hate naps! I am sure it will be raining at some point on the 4th...what is the 4th without a little rain here???
Love ya,
Chantel Marie...
