Hello all,
I thought I would share with you all the saga we have been dealing with concerning our backyard pool. Our pool is one of those Intex easy set pools where you inflate the top ring thingy and fill with water.....the walls "magically" rise and waallllaahhh you have a pool. Since I'm trying to corral 3 wild and crazy girls, I decided to go for the smallest easy set pool they make (10ft x 30inch). Less work for me and Peyton can stand up comfortably in it. Well I set it up around mid-June and the girls have had a great time (some days I swear I gave birth to 3 fish). Anyway, we get a letter from our wonderful city building inspector last week saying that we are in violation of state code with our pool. WHAT?? The city claims that since the pool has the "capacity" to hold more than 24 inches of water that I need to add a few things to the house and fence to be able to keep the pool. I call the city and ask what these "few things" are and the list is as follows: the walk thru gate must close and lock automatically, any door in the house that leads to the backyard must have an alarm on it, and our drive thru gate at the back of the property must have a self locking device. So the semi-short story is........I overfill the pool trying to prove it isn't supposed to hold more than 80% capacity (24 inches of water)....the entire pool collapses overnight since it had too much water.....I buy another, smaller, blowup pool and fill with water......the blowup tube POPS overnight and empties the pool........the building inspector comes out today and says I can put the original one back up because I proved it's not supposed to hold more than 24 inches of water........................................Now I'm sure if this were happening to someone else it would actually be quite entertaining! Because it's happening to me and my water bill, I'm NOT amused! So as I'm typing this, the original pool is refilling (honey we need more money for the water bill!!) and I'm hoping this soap opera is finally off the air!! Taataa for now!!

Ya gotta love those that walk around with nothing to do but to make life terrible for others. Maybe you should give the water bill to them and ask them to credit you account...they are the ones who made you use up so much water. And while you are at it...get them to pay for the pool that popped.
Hope they leave ya alone. Enjoy the sun and have fun in the pool!
